Hi, My name is Amanda McCollum

I am the eye behind the lens with Rooted in Truth Photography. It is my passion to capture life's moments, both large and small. Taking photo started as a hobby back when I was in high school and you had to send the film off to be developed!! My friends and I would dress up and find locations to take "Glamour Shots." When I had my children, photos continued to be a major part of my life and I added scrapbooking to the list of hobbies. My two boys, Kyler and Korbin, were "camera trained" from birth it seemed. Anytime, a camera was facing them they would stop and pose with a great big smile. Aww the good ole days!! (Those sweet babies are now 21 and 19 years old) Generally speaking I would print (yes PRINT) roughly 250-400 pictures per month for my scrapbooks.

In 2019, Anthony, my husband gifted me a quality Canon for Christmas so that I could take my love of photography to the next level. I have since upgraded to a new Canon, increased the passion and invested in education so that I am be the best photographer I can be. I am continuing to educate myself so that I am always growing. I feel that this is the path that the Lord has for my life and I will embrace it as He leads me.

Our family has grown since I started this business to add two littles into the mix, plus a grandson. We have a now 3 year old and 1 year old. You will see them in marketing and modeling roles.
